Everyone thanked and praised him, calling him a hero. The worried parents, as well as other townspeople quickly arrived. As for the blood, there was only a small cut on the boy's leg. Upon reaching land Alberto quickly registered CPR and saved Romeo. "Dang it, why can't humans have gills?" Alberto anxiously asked himself as he briskly made his way to shore. The boy was neither breathing nor moving. However, before the latter could continue Alberto grabbed the small boy and swam to the surface. "This yours?" A deep voice asked, handing the boy over. But as he swam closer, he could make out another larger silhouette. His heart dropped, as he started preparing for the worst. He finally saw the silhouette of the small boy, laying limp in the water. The scent led him towards the sharp rocks. He looked around frantically, as he began to follow the scent of blood. He looked around, scanning the murky water for any sign of the lost boy.
The current began to pick up, pulling Alberto towards the jagged rocks that lined the coast. Light blue quickly faded to dark blue, as he rounded the peninsula's corner. This part of the water is off limits for a reason.Īlberto beat his tail against the water, propelling himself forward through the light blue water. "We were swimming over-" The boy pointed to an area just past where the beach ended.Īlberto didn't say another word before he jumped in the water. "Where is he Enzo?" Alberto quickly asked. I can't get to him."Īlberto looked around the ocean, but didn't see a head. I just know the two of us will be inseperable."What's wrong Enzo? Stai bene(Are you okay)?" Alberto asked, jumping from his lifeguard chair. Maybe we can do some more bubblegum blowing. I hadn’t felt this happy in all my life! As I blew on another giant bubblegum bubble, I was thinking of the future Luca and I are going to have together. What the heck was I thinking?! Did I just say that out loud? Luca kissed me on the cheek and said, “I love you too, ALberto Scorfano.” And sooner than I knew it, we were kissing on the lips. I love you, Luca Paguro!” I buried my face in my palms. I always dreamed of your warm lips connected to mine. I always wanted to tell you this, but I just couldn’t find the words. Ever since we first met, my heart kept on beating for joy. I blew a bubblegum bubble and said, “Luca Paguro. How am I supposed to answer this question? Don’t goof up, Berto. Luca’s face was blushing, but not as red as mine. We ripped the gum off our faces and stared at each other, my face turning tomato-red. Both our bubblegum bubbles popped, and our faces were stuck together, and ended up kissing each other. I blew a big bubble, still smaller than Luca’s bubble, and I connected my bubblegum bubble to Luca’s.
In fact, I was pretty impressed at how his bubblegum bubble kept on growing by every breath. I never knew Luca was good at bubble blowing. Luca’s bubblegum bubble was perfectly round, and big. I blew my bubblegum bubble too fast, which means my bubblegum bubble pops too soon. “I do like a challenge.” And it was settled.
“How about we challenge each other?” I nodded.
Luca was amazed at how my bubble reached an enormous size, bigger than my head! Luca blew a small bubblegum bubble, and mine popped with a loud burst.

“What did you bring this time, Alberto?” he asked, his face full of curiosity. I hurried up to the tower, where Luca was waiting for me. How am I going to confess to him without being such a goof? I thought. I was pretty excited to meet him, but also very nervous. Right now, I’m in my sea monster form, swimming to the tower, where Luca was waiting for me. I blew a small bubble just thinking about it. His wavy brown hair, his brown eyes, and his irresistible smile, which makes him extremely cute.
